What is mitr mum?

Mitr is a social enterprise based in Mumbai, India. It was founded in 1989 by Dr. R.A. Mashelkar, the former director general of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and is committed to helping marginalized communities, particularly women, to become entrepreneurs and gain economic independence. Mitr provides training, mentoring, and access to funding to women entrepreneurs, helping them start their own businesses and become financially independent. Mitr has also developed a mobile application called ‘JITO’ (Job Information and Training Opportunities) to provide information about job opportunities, training programs, and other career-related resources to young people in India. Mitr has partnered with several organizations, including the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), to promote entrepreneurship and social development in India.
